Hi Rachel! Use the recipe as a guldiiene since different fruits will have varying amounts of sweetness. Blueberries are a little tart but a ripe pineapple can be super sweet. Also, regarding the alcohol: LOVE IT! but it will not freeze. So chill your booze (or even shake it with some ice) and pour some over your granita as you are serving. Rum might be nice for a daiquiri-like granita, tequila with a lime granita, or make a cranberry granita with vodka. Yum, summer never tasted better!
